Chemitex
was started in 1970 by Adnan, Metin and Erol Kandiyoti as a yarn trading
company and quickly became one of the leading players in the textile business.
A family business to this day, Chemitex now deals with a full range of
grey, bleached and coloured yarn and fabric products. It has also expanded
its offering from cotton to a large variety of other raw materials and
blends.
The company’s reputation is founded on the unrivalled service it
is able to offer its clients. As one of the world’s largest textile
trading companies, Chemitex has stock comprising tens of millions of metres
of fabric and thousands of tons of yarn in high technology warehouses
in several countries across Europe. This stock is backed up by an expert
staff of 50 people, based in Brussels,
who use a combination of leading-edge technology and a lifetime’s
experience to respond to each client’s needs on an individual basis.

EROL KANDIYOTI, founding partner “Our commitment to providing
the ultimate in client service means that we have to be extremely
flexible and responsive in everything we do. The pace of business
has increased dramatically in the past thirty years and we have introduced
services like Just-In-Time delivery to match. We also help both our
clients and suppliers by forward planning demand so that we can always
guarantee supply, no matter how tight the deadline.” |
METIN KANDIYOTI, founding partner “Two things we have
always done ever since we started the business thirty years ago are
to run a very lean operation and work hard. In these difficult economic
times, our clients and suppliers are adopting the same practices.
This means that we often have to help them by holding large stocks
and providing appropriate payment conditions in the relevant currency.
After all, it is in our interest for them to do well.”

ADNAN KANDIYOTI, founding partner “Over the thirty years
since the company was founded, we have always prided ourselves on
keeping pace with market developments. This is one of the key reasons
for our strong growth in a competitive field. Today we have become
a veritable supermarket for the textile industry, with the right stock
to meet virtually any needs our clients may have. While we are proud
of our ability in this regard, we know that only by constant improvement
will we retain the position we have worked so hard to achieve.” |
